Barlestone is a village and civil parish in the Hinckley and Bosworth

. The 2001 Census
recorded a parish population of 2,471. The village adjoins the neighbouring village of Osbaston.
There is a wheel at the centre of the village that is over 100 years old, and was installed during the late 80's to commemorate the miners who lived in the village. Barlestone itself never had a pit and the miners travelled to the ones in either Bagworth

Barlestone's public house is The Three Tuns, another pub was formerly the Red Lion which has now been converted into an Indian restaurant, Kismat.
There are two local shops in the community: a privately owned corner shop (actually in Osbaston) and a Co-Operative store opposite The Three Tuns pub. As well as this, there are two hairdressers, a post office, a fish and chip shop, a Chinese shop and two Indian restaurants.
The village also has St. Giles Football Club that has a bar at its club house.
