. The club produces several shows and fundraisers each year, including musicals, non-musicals, Shakespeare, Haunted Houses, & talent shows. The current faculty advisers are John Sullivan, an animation teacher and member of the National Teachers Hall of Fame

, and English teacher Ed O'Toole. The club was recently voted the Best Drama Program in the Northeastern United States by Stage Direction Magazine.

History

Originally called the Barnstable High School Dramatic Club, it was founded in 1957 and featured only a few dozen members. Over the years, the club has expanded to include over 100 members, with some shows featuring casts exceeding 300. The Club is also affiliated with the award winning Barnstable Summer Family Theatre.

In 2008, with the 50th anniversary of the club, the decision was made to perform the Wizard of Oz
