The Barren Lands First Nation occupy Brochet Reserve No. 197 which is on the north shore of Reindeer Lake
in Northern Manitoba close to the Saskatchewan border.
The native languages spoken are Cree and Dene and the population as about 400 people on-reserve. There are also about 400 members who live off-reserve.
