In 2001, popular Serbian hip-hop producer Oneya
founded Bassivity, the hip hop crew and studio, which grew into full size record company Bassivity Music in 2002 when he met Relja Milanković from Serbian hip hop duo V.I.P. they merged their studios with production/marketing agency Soulflower and started producing and publishing Serbian Hip hop .This is the first and to date only hip hop music record company not only in Serbia, but in the entire Balkans
region.
Beginning of the third millennium brought a new order on the Serbian music scene and definitely breaking hip hop genre in the mainstream pop culture trends. Its appearance Bassivity Music label, as a key factor in defining new rules on the scene, completely altered the former business model by setting new standards of production, aesthetics, promotions, marketing and management in general.
From its establishment in 2001. was a synonym for revolution on the Serbian hip hop scene. By carefully selecting and directing the performers and their aggressive media promotion, record label Music Bassivity succeeded, with brand new concept of production in Serbian hip hop music, to become the only identifiable factor able to adequately meet the needs of new generation music consumers.
Today's renowned Serbian hip hop artists grew up in Bassivity Music lab (studio) , thanks to whose creative support the , business and promotional concept and philosophy of business and music in general, made a very successful career, while, generally speaking, almost every remotely affirmed member of a Serbian hip hop scene was connected to Bassivity Music at one point of their career.
The success achieved by originality and active work Bassivity Music has proven and built on further cooperation with the world's most recognized brands such as Reebok, Sinalco, Pony, Orbit, Durex and many others ,that it was the first time to encourage the promotion of Serbian hip hop culture. With gained reputation, Bassivity Music is able to effectively influence the media and all cultural institutions in the country and force them to recognize the power of hip hop movement in Serbia. By gradually expanding the positive impact on the region, record label Music Bassivity managed to achieve the first regional cooperation with music labels within ex yu space, after which it became feasible and popular for artists to publish albums and perform in neighboring countries
Today, Bassivity Music is a global brand which is just part of the activities taking place in Serbia and the region, and, since 2005. The focus of activity shifted to the U.S. market and the key tasks in the urban music industry.
Exactly ten years since the establishment Bassivity Music at the time of death of conventional publishing is back in new clothes.
