Beatrice was the second of three children. Her siblings were Charles I of Hungary
and Clementia of Hungary. Charles claimed his father's succession wrights on Hungary
and her sister, Clementia married Louis X of France
and was mother of John I of France
, the baby King.
In total, Beatrice had thirty five maternal cousins and at least forty two paternal cousins. This was due to her grandparents, maternal and paternal having many children.

When her husband died in 1319, Beatrice became a nun at Cîteaux. She remained here until 1340, when she transferred to the Abbaye des Ayes. Her son founded for her the convent of Saint-Just dans le Royannais.
Beatrice died in 1343. She died in the convent which her sons had founded for her.
