Beatriz Elena Uribe Botero is the 1st and current Minister of Housing, City and Territory of Colombia serving in the administration of President
Juan Manuel Santos Calderón. She first joined the Santos administration as the 5th Minister of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development of Colombia
, until the Ministry was divided and the environment portfolio transferred to the newly created Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. Before this, she worked as President of the Colombian Chamber of Construction (Camacol), and had served as Deputy Minister of Housing during President Álvaro Uribe Vélez's first term in office. As Minister, she will oversee the restructuring of the Ministry separating the department of Housing from that of the Environment becoming two separate ministries in the cabinet.
