Becky Johnson is a Canadian comedian, writer, actor and improviser, best known for her work in the improv comedy duo Iron Cobra (with Graham Wagner). She has been nominated at the Canadian Comedy Awards
for her work in improvised theatre work and has also done a fair amount of work producing comedy shows and improv festivals in Toronto
. She is well known in the theater scene from Atlanta to Los Angeles to Minneapolis. She has appeared at the Edinburgh Improv Festival.
Aside from live theatre, Johnson has done sporadic work in independent films. Some titles include: Secondary High (2002); The Water Game (2002); The Affected Turtleneck Trio (2001); I'm Not Martin! (2000); and Uranium (2004).
Becky Johnson has also had some attention for her work as a playwright. Her solo play 'Anorexican' received the Spotlight Award for outstanding performance at the SummerWorks Festival. She publishes her own 'zines and underground comics, which have been featured in Canada's Broken Pencil Magazine.
