Lee was chatelain of Winfield House, U.S. Ambassador's residence during Mr. Annenberg's service as U.S. Ambassador (1969–1974). In 1981 she was briefly Chief of Protocol in Pres. Reagan's State Department. Lee died in November 2009, greatly beloved by her nieces and nephews.
