Overview
Belthara was a village at the bank of Ghaghara river and a center of trade since Ancient times. When Britishers made this Railway station near village Sier, they named it Belthara Road. They made a road from Belthara ghat to Sier and linked it to Railway station. So, Sier became Belthra Road and all the market shifted from Sier to newly Belthara Road.Belthara Road is extended from Chaukiya mod to Madhuban dhala and to Kundail dhala. Two main roads of Belthara joins Bus station to Chaukiya mod and Tinmuhani to Railway station. The main market of Belthara road lies between these two roads.
