Release

The single was distributed on both Diamond and JMD Records. The JMD version is actually very slightly different than the Diamond re-issue. On the Diamond version, when the Dr. is cutting into a patient, you hear someone scream, on the JMD version, it sounds more like an entire audience of voices screaming.

Goodman's Spencer & Spencer partner, Micky Shorr, did a Ben Casey break-in called, "Dr. Ben Basey", as, Micky Shorr & The Cut-Ups (Tuba 8001—4/6/62) at exactly the same time. Rumor has it that Dickie actually WAS one of the Cut-Ups.
