Bendemeer Secondary School is a secondary school in Singapore
. Established in 1979. Her 1st principal was Madam Rebecca Lee who runs the school very well and lead the school through the next 2 decades. With the assistance of her many capable and dedicated teaching staffs, such as Mr Tan Tai Tong, Mrs Lilian Song Phua, Mrs Chua Ai Kiang, who has taught home economics up until 2009 when she retired. Ms Joan Ng, Ms Wong Kwai Hoong, Ms See Choon Sang, Mrs Poon CC, Ms Goh Beng Guat, and many others, the school was once a very popoular school in the neighbourhood which produces many elites and top scholars. The school now produces average standard students. The school has 3 express stream classes, 3 normal academic stream classes and 2 normal technical stream classes.
In 2008, student Yip Pin Xiu won silver and gold medals at the women's 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke, both at the category S3 in Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
The gold medal was Singapore's first ever in the Paralympics and any IOC-sanctioned Games.
The Indoor Sports Hall is ready for use since the start of school this year(2011)
The school choir have gotten a gold for SYF this year(2011), it was their very first gold since the choir was formed.
