Bessemer City High is home to the district's only Early College. Students enrolled in the Early College have the ability to earn college credit and an Associates Degree as they work on their high school diploma.

James Montgomery serves as principal of BCHS. Sheila Wyont, Director of the Early College, will become the principal of the Early College in 2010-2011. Bill Kerlin is the assistant principal.
