The Vichara Kendram regularly organizes seminars and symposiums on various topics. Lectures by distinguished scholars and leaders are periodically organized on topics of regional and national importance. Propagation of the Bhagavad-Gita

 and gita. Gita has been introduced as a panacea affecting the society especially to the youths. The Gita year celebrations were inaugurated in 1998,at the university senate hall, Thiruvananthapuram. More than 400 Bhagavad-Gita Gita Shibirs were organized in all over the state in which lakhs of youth attended.

Recognition and affiliations

[Maharshi Dayananda Saraswathi University]http://www.mdsuajmer.com/, Formerly Ajmeer University, Rajasthan, has given recognition to Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram as a Research Centre affiliated to the University. The Centre will be known as “[Bharatheeya Institute for Advanced Research]http://www.vicharakendram.org/pages/biar/bvk_biar_about.html and Development (BIARD)”. It has started functioning at Samskrithi Bhavan, GPO Lane, Thiruvananthapuram-1, on 28 April, 2007.

The Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram and the BIAR has been approved as the study center by the IGNOU. The study centre was inaugurated by the vice chancellor of IGNOU, Dr. V.N Rajaseharan Pillai on 9 December 2007 at Samskrithi Bhavan Gpolane, Thiruvananthapuram currently the center offers MBA and MBF courses.

'Pragati’ is a quarterly research journal of BVK, started publication in 1979 and now publishing from Thiruvanathapuram as a bi--lingual research journal (English and Malayalam). It's edtorial board consists of P. Parameswaran (Chief Editor), Dr. K. Jayaprasad (Editor).
