BIGFlix, a part of Reliance BIG Entertainment (A Reliance ADAG Venture) is the largest Video-on-Demand and currently the largest online - offline movie rental service in India. As of November 2011, BigFlix has shut down it's DVD rental division and will only offer streaming movies. The decision was taken abruptly and has resulted in widespread customer dissatisfaction. The call center has apparently been shut down and the only way to contact anyone is thru email. BigFlix has offered existing customers a chance to ask for a refund of their membership fees, but has not set any date when they would be processing it. They have also offered existing customers a set of 25 DVDs if they don't seek a refund. Looking at the comments on the facebook page of BigFlix [www.facebook.com/Bigflix], some customers have received DVDs which are scratched, movies they have already viewed or would never like to view.

How it works
BIGFlix currently has over 15,000 movie titles to choose from, both Indian and international. Subscribers can opt for one, two or three discs at a time. Options are available for monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual subscription. Subscribers can rent movies from a BIGFlix store or queue them up online for free home-delivery. Discs can be returned at any BIGFlix store or via Pick-up requests, through SMSSMS
