in Navsari district

In the late 18th century, the Baroda State
established a Naval set up at Billimora, a port about 40 miles south of Surat
, known as Bunder Billimora Suba Armor. Here a fleet of 50 vessels was stationed, which included mostly sails, cargo vessels for trading and military vessels to secure the sea from Portuguese, Dutch and French.

There are small but highly advance product manufacturing companies like K-ELECTRONICS originally based in Mumbai are starting their plants at GIDC Antalia which make big things possible for Bilimora. It used to be a called a Manchester of Gujarat. It was very popular as a business place but now its only residential area.There could have been much more development if the kind of politics Mr.Modi keeps can be implemented on smaller levels as well.
