and Atlanta. As the decade progressed, his homebuilding business grew to 12 subdivisions in six states. In 1969, William J. Pulte, Inc. became Pulte Home Corporation and went public. Bill remained Chairman and President of the new public entity.
From 1972 to 1990, Bill held the position of Chairman of the Executive Committee for the company. From 1990 to 1998, he held the position of Chairman of the Board. In January 2002, he again assumed the position of Chairman of the Board.
He attended De La Salle Collegiate High School
in Detroit. He lives in Michigan and has 14 children, and 35 grandchildren.
