. There are two primary schools in Blairdardie. The district of South Blairdardie is made up from mostly council built low rise flats of up to five storeys. There are however four landmark multi-storey flats situated along the Great Western Road. Built in the late 50s early 60s, they still overlook the entire west end of Glasgow. These multi-storey flats are now undergoing extensive renovation, including interior and exterior work. Most notable however is the facade of the buildings which will change colour in the year 2007.
