Blake Ferguson is an Australian professional rugby League
footballer for the Canberra Raiders
of the NRL. He previously played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
Ferguson is a nephew of Solomon Haumono
. He is also eligible for the Indigenous All Stars.
He made his NRL debut in Round 1, 2009. In Round 15 of the 2009 season, Ferguson scored one of the tries of the year as the Sharks thrashed the Brisbane Broncos
46-12 on a Monday night match in June. This marked the Sharks' biggest win against the Broncos, and their biggest victory over any side in the 2009 season.
In 2010, he was called up to play for the Indigenous All-Stars replacing the injured Justin Hodges
. Ferguson has signed a 2-year deal to play with the Canberra Raiders
starting from 2011. He signed this contract in order to go to a team he stated could win. Ironically, the Raiders are set to finish well outside of the eight, and below the team he left.
