A public parking lot was added in 2006, which offers free long-term parking for Amtrak passengers. Passengers may obtain a long-term parking pass.
On August 7, 2010 construction began on a new intermodal facility which will replace the current station. The new facility will include administrative offices for the town and city council in addition to serving Amtrak, city and long-distance buses. The facility is expected to open by June 2012. Construction, expected to cost between $43 and $47 million, is funded by a combination of federal, state and local grants.
