.She is a regular cast member and has been from the first episode (It's a Fae, Fae, Fae, Fae World) She is a succubus.
Not much is show about Bo's early years.We know that she was abandoned by her Fay parents (She knows and raised by humans (Sam and Mary Dennis).When she was sixteen she accidentally killed her first love, and that is when she learned what she is, a succubus.

Bo is a succubus, and that means she get energy through kissing people which before (and in the pilot episode and for several episodes after)she would kill her prey and she healed through sexual intercourse, that also in the pilot episode and for several episodes after she would kill her partners (but only if they were humans, because if she slept with Fay, and she did do that in the series she had no chance of killing her lovers.In season one, episode 12, she manages to bring Diason back to life after another succubus tries (and technically succeeds) to kill him.
Diason is a fay Werewolf
who works in the police department
keeping fay matters a secret
for humans
and covering up fay activity
that would otherwise alert humans to the fay's preasence. He and Bo were sexual partners (with no strings attached) whenever she
would get into a fight and needed to be healed. Around the middle of the series Bo and Diason developed feelings for each other.
In the last episode of season one when Bo is fighting her mother, he goes to a witch and asks the witch to protect Bo. She accepts
that and in return she takes what is dearest to him.He accepets and assumes that the thing that he values most is his wolf and he
is ready to give that up as he loves Bo too much. After she works her magic and saves Bo, she took what he values most but really
that was his love for Bo and that means that he will never be able to love her again.
