, a position he held from 1999 to 2003 and resumed in 2008. Nielson has also served as head coach at Ripon College
(1989–1990), Wartburg College
(1991–1995), and the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire (1996–1998). His Minnesota–Duluth Bulldogs won the NCAA Division II National Football Championship
in 2008 and 2010.
