Williams had a distinguishing career with the Eastern Suburbs club, a long serving member who was one of the first to play in 100 matches for the club. The rugby union

Williams later coached at the top level, coaching North Sydney
and Queensland in the 1939 interstate series.
Williams died in 1969 aged 82.
