Robert "Bob" Wiltfong is an American
actor and comedian best known as a former correspondent on The Daily Show
on Comedy Central
. He has also made appearances on Chappelle's Show
and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Wiltfong was a real non-satirical newscaster for 10 years, making him the first correspondent on The Daily Show who really worked as a real news reporter. He subsequently exited the business after the September 11, 2001 attacks
made him realize he did not enjoy his career. He also lost a friend of his on September 11, cameraman Glen Pettit.
Wiltfong has won 4 regional, individual Emmys for television performance and has been nominated for 14 others. He was part of The Daily Show
