 and 12 km from Repalle. The modern day village is situated to the west of the Krishna river right levee and is uniquely extended from north to south longitudinally, spanning more than 2 km. As one moves to the south, it will become Tsodayapalem. Even though Revenue Department considers Bobbarlanka as a hamlet of Tsodayapalem, de facto they are two separate villages merged together making distinction difficult and hence aptly considered as twin villages.

Demographics

According to 2001 census data, which tracked electrical connections to the village, Bobbarlanka housed around 300 families. Male and female population is approximately equal. The prime religions are Hindu and Christianity.

Geography & Climate

Geographically, the region falls under Krishna Delta. The area is flat with fertile lands and major irrigation canals runs in parallel to the village. The climate is tropical savanna climate

 and the summer temperatures can be as high 40oC. However the monsoon season can occasionally be damp and humid. Winters are normal and pleasant with occasional monsoons.

Economy

. Dairy, wild poultry, sheep and goat farming are also followed, mainly to supplement the agricultural income.

Education

The twin villages have four primary schools and one high school which are run by the government. Three of the primary schools and the high school are geographically located in Bobbarlanka and the fourth primary school is in Tsodayapalem. The ZP high school is also the nearest high school for a handful of surrounding villages, from which students commute on a daily basis. After the high school completion, one has to turn to Repalle for further education.

Transportation

The village is well connected with Repalle, mandal head quarters. As there are quite a few routes to choose from, it is not hard to find a reasonably maintained paved road route to Repalle. The nearest rail connection is at Repalle

Places of interest

The twin village of Tsodayapalem has historic temples of Lord Siva and Lord Vishnu. According to the locals, they were built during the Chola dynasty
