. Opened in January 2006, the hospital is a purpose-built facility designed to provide facilities and equipment for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of conditions on a day case basis.

The hospital does not contain an Accident and Emergency department, but The cottage hospital (East Cornwall Hospital)does contain a minor injuries unit.This Hospital is located approx 200 meters from the Treatment Centre. Parking is free, and the nearest public train station is at Bodmin Parkway.
