-related themes that the original series dealt with.
Rin and Alice's 7-year-old son. He resembles Rin in appearance and personality. Unlike his parents, Ren possesses no psychic abilities, unless he is in the presence of Shion and Mokuren, whom he considers as his guardian angels. He is a perky and adventurous young boy who is always by the side of his best friend and crush, Kackiko. He loves both of his parents deeply.
Ren's father and Alice's husband. He is now 23-years-old. Due to the fact that he is 23 and Ren is 7, he was likely 15 when Ren was conceived and was 16 when Ren was born. He married Alice a few years later. He is portrayed as a lovey-dovey husband to Alice and father to Ren. He writes songs for Alice now.
Ren's mother and Rin's wife. She is now 32-years-old. She was 24 and Rin was 15 when she became pregnant with Ren, and she married Rin a few years later. She is portrayed as a caring wife to Rin and mother to Ren. She is now a singer.
Ren's best friend. She possesses psychic abilites, like being able to see spirits or gouls. She develops a crush on Ren.
Kackiko's father and, like her, possesses psychic abilities. He works for EPIA and lives in America, which keeps him separated from Kackiko often. Despite being estranged from her, Mikuro loves his daughter dearly.
Ren's friend from elementary school.
Rin and Alice's previous lives. They watch over Ren and give him their powers when needed. Ren calls them his guardian angels.
