 stone from Metcalfe Quarry. Construction is 2 stories, rectangular, low hipped roof with dormers recessed galerie on 3 sides supported by square
wooden pillars, front center entrance with transom and sidelights, interior chimneys, French
doors and tall windows for ventilation, 12-14" insulating walls; early plumbing and wiring intact,
many original furnishings. A vernacular adaptation of the “raised cottage style” well suited for
the desert climate.

History

This was the second home on the same property, the original home burned down in 1915. The Bonellis owned a large ranch, general store, and jewelry store, and a meat market in Chloride, Arizona

The property belongs to the City of Kingman and is operated as a historic house museum by the Mohave County Historical Society. The Society also operates the Mohave Museum of History and Arts.
