History

Boone Grove originated as the Boone Grove Post Office in 1843, about 1½ miles north and east of its current location. In 1881-82, the Chicago and Erie Railroad was built through the township and the post office moved to the current location of Boone Grove.

, although 5½ miles outside of that city. 260 S 500 W is the school's address. The old high school (which is now one of the elementary schools, Boone Grove Elementary, and the middle school) is still located in Boone Grove next to a sheep farm. The track and field team for the high school still practices behind the middle school (the old high school). The baseball and softball teams each have a field at the high school; however, there are more fields at the middle school (the old high school) by the track. There are only four tennis courts at the high school, and none at the middle school.

The Boone Grove school mascot is a Wolf; the sports teams at Boone Grove High School are nicknamed the "Wolves".

The current Boone Grove Middle School has a mixture of children from the Boone Grove Elementary School and the nearby Porter Lakes Elementary School located on 725 West in Hebron
