.
He is currently working AP PCC President His rise in andhra pradesh political arena is phenomenal. He hails from Thurpu Kapu community.
He has emerged as a formidable force in whole north andhra region. His strategy of treating Kapus and Velamas two dominant castes in the region as his two eyes and supporting the urge of Telangana people for a separate state fetched him fantastic political dividends. With Congress losing its reddy caste vote bank which was its erstwhile sheet anchor in Andhra pradesh. Botsa Sathi Babu symbolizes the rising clout of Kapu Segments in Congress in this crucial state. Kapu the single largest community in Andhra pradesh with more than 27.5% population in its fold remained a loyal supporting structure to YSR and congress. Of late film actor Chiranjeevi started Prajarajyam party and could garner 20% vote bank basically consisting of Kapu sub castes. Now Chiranjeevi being assimilated in to congress This community has thrown up two major leaders in Botsa Satti Babu and Chiranjeevi as contenders for CM post in 2014 or even before. If Telangana is carved out Andhra region will be definitely dominated by this new political class and Chiru and Botsa will be a deadly combination. Only lack of supportive media is a nagging problem for this segment which fails in effectively articulating its social justice based ideology.
