. The boxing schedule began on July 29 and ended on August 11. Twelve men's boxing events were contested.

Team Selection:
The final selection took place in May 1984 in Burnaby, BC following the box-off competition
that appeared during the National Junior Boxing Championships. In the box-off bouts
for the open senior boxers five boxers would join the other members including
Willie DeWit, Dale Walters Lennox Lewis and Wayne Gordon. The five were
Steve Pagendam, John Kalbehn, Dennis Lambert, Shawn O'Sullivan.

For Canadian boxing, the 1984 Olympic Games was to be an important eventthat would result in three medals and an open door for further medal victories
in 1988, 1992 and 1996.
Team Selection:
The final selection took place in May 1984 in Burnaby, BC following the box-off competition
that appeared during the National Junior Boxing Championships. In the box-off bouts
for the open senior boxers five boxers would join the other members including
Willie DeWit, Dale Walters Lennox Lewis and Wayne Gordon. The five were
