The Society itself states that it is non-political and has as its object the fostering of friendship and understanding between British people and Burmese people, especially in exchange of cultural and social relations between the two countries. However, its affiliation may be to the political right

Organisation

The Society holds 7 meetings a year round demonstrating in social events and ethnic roles in Burma as well as fund raising for itself. It is also a body which publicised with many books and sources in Burma affairs.
