History
The Spooktacular takes place in a 185+ year old farmhouseFarmhouse

, built circa 1822 by the Gist family, who owned 750 acres (3 km²) of land known as "Happy Hills Farm". When much of the family died in the early twentieth century, the 750 acres (3 km²) were willed to Brooke County, becoming Brooke Hills Park. In 1986, one the volunteers saw this old century farmhouse for what it is now, a spookhouse.
