However due to the large growing and more populous Pearland, Texas
adjacent to the city, visitors without any full knowledge of the area often mistake the city for being part of Pearland. This is due in part that Brookside Village has no sign saying "Entering Brookside Village City Limits

There were 655 households out of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.9% were married couples
living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.2% were non-families. 13.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.99 and the average family size was 3.22.
In the city the population was spread out with 24.9% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 31.0% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 13.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 117.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 117.3 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $44,650, and the median income for a family was $50,625. Males had a median income of $32,500 versus $27,981 for females. The per capita income
