Brooktrails has over 30 hiking trails, and many miles of greenbelt. There are two lakes, Lake Emily, and Lake Ada Rose that supply water to its residents. There is also a small market, and a video store. Currently, there has been a building ban due to a lawsuit involving whether there would be enough water for its current residents in a hundred year flood. During the summer of 2008, Lake Emily's dam was rebuilt and a rubber spillway gate installed, but the ban is still in effect as of this date.
