Water conditions

Best kept in a community tank with standard lighting, this hardy tetra can be kept in a coldwater aquarium as long as the temperature does not drop below room temperature. They thrive happily in temperatures of 62–83 °F (16.7–28.3 C). The Buenos Aires Tetra will tolerate pH 5.5-8.5. This is a wider range than most tetras.
