The Shire of Buloke is a local government area in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the north-western part of the state and is named after the tree buloke or bulloak Allocasuarina luehmannii
which is common in the area. It includes the towns of Birchip
, Charlton
, Donald
, Sea Lake
and Wycheproof
in addition to many smaller localities. It has an area of 8,004 square kilometres. In 2006 it had a population of 6,853. It was formed in 1995 from the merger of the Shire of Wycheproof
