. It is on the western side of Lake Lucerne
between the Engelberger Aa
and the Buochserhorn mountain. It consists of the former linear village
of Buochs.

Buochs is first mentioned in 1124 as Boches. In 1184 it was mentioned as Buoches in 1210 as Buches, and in 1229 as Buchs.Geography
