for Francis Buttrum. It replaced an earlier tower mill nearby. The mill was the tallest one built by Whitmore. In 1919, an 8 hp engine was installed. The mill worked by wind until 1922 and the machinery was dismantled in 1925 by millwright Amos Clarke. The mill was derelict in 1997, but by 2005 it had gained a new galleried cap.
Recently renevated in 2004, it was reroofed and the brickwork replaced using the original suffolk white bricks

Description
Burgh Mill is a seven storey tower mill with an ogee cap which has a gallery. It had four Patent sails and was winded by a fantail. The tower is 23 feet (7.01 m) diameter internally at ground floor level and 13 feet (3.96 m) diameter internally at curb level. The height of the tower is 57 feet (17.37 m) to the curb. the four pairs of millstones were on the third floor.Recently renevated in 2004, it was reroofed and the brickwork replaced using the original suffolk white bricks
