Burton Dickerson is an American artist and World War II
veteran living in Mount Pleasant, Michigan
. He served in the 47th Infantry, 9th division, which was deployed in North Africa, Sicily, and France. His work includes large abstract expressionist paintings, dancing figures, and cartoons. Some of his paintings are owned by Viggo Mortenson, Nathan Cummings
