. It was developed by Rajiv Bhushan an electrical engineer. There is no reference to C-KAD in the published medical literature.

It is entering the final stages of clinical testing and could be commercially available in 2010, which would make it the first non-surgical treatment for cataracts. Although C-KAD is not FDA approved it is available in the U.S. to treat eye irritation and dryness with N-acetylcarnosine listed as a non-active ingredient.
