CPO Identification Badges are worn on the lower left pocket of a Navy uniform. As of October 2004, a miniature version of the pin was authorized for wear on the flap of the shirt pocket. NAVADMIN 274/06 effective September 2006 returned the full-size badge to its original position. CPO identifications are considered temporary identification badges only and are surrendered at the termination of the assignment for which they are held.
