Calthorpe Park School is an average-sized mixed 11–16 comprehensive school in Fleet, Hampshire
. There are over 1000 students most of whom are White British and speak English as their first language. The school shares the excellent sports facilities of an adjacent community leisure centre. It was awarded specialist status as a Maths and Computing College in 2005. In the 2009 OFSTED report the school received a 'good' grading overall and received seven 'outstanding' gradings....
A major capital scheme by Hampshire County Council to extend the school to accommodate more pupils was completed in 2004.It then underwent another scheme in 2008-9 to extend the school further.
The School uses the adjacent Hart Leisure Centre for its P.E needs (for swimming and the larger sport hall) as well as its own sporting hall, playgrounds and large field. Drama has become a larger part of school life with successful productions of Little Shop of Horrors, My Fair Lady and Oliver.
The School boasts the Healthy Schools, Right Respecting and International School Awards. It also holds trips such as Kingswood (IOW), Battlefields trip to France and Belgium, a Geography Trip to Iceland on some years and a county-wide famous skiing trip in the Italian alps.
