The Campeonato Carioca lower levels are the football tournaments for the Rio de Janeiro
clubs that do not play in the Campeonato Carioca First Division
. The competitions are organized by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation
. Usually, the champions of a division are promoted in the next year to the immediately upper level.
