Air Transport Command was a command of the Canadian Armed Forces created in 1968 and eliminated in 1975.
ATC was responsible to provide air transport forces (strategic airlift and refueling aircraft) and to command primary air search and rescue forces for Canada and to support bases and units of other commands as directed. The headquarters for ATC was at CFB Trenton

, when the command structure was simplified upon the creation of Air Command. Air Command was created to consolidate all air operations within the Canadian Forces.
A further 1990s restructuring of Air Command saw the creation of Wings as the primary lodger unit at air bases under which squadrons were assigned. Air Command was renamed in August 2011 to Royal Canadian Air Force
