It is known as the EOS Kiss X4 in Japan, and as the EOS Rebel T2i in North America. It continues the entry level digital SLR camera series (known as Rebel line in North America) of Canon, and is currently placed by Canon as the successor model to the EOS 500D, and has been superseded by the EOS 600D
