Rock concerts

Additionally, the Cape Cod Coliseum was host to many major rock concerts over the years during the summer months. Referred to as the "air-conditioned" Cape Cod Coliseum, it was basically a large concrete cube with a stage. The heat was an issue, but it wasn't until a show was over and the A/C had a chance to catch up that it would actually "rain" inside from all of the sweat from the crowd condensing on the ceiling. Iron Maiden, The Clash, The Allman Brothers, Santana, Elvis Costello, Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Pat Benatar, Billy Squier, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper The Grateful Dead, Kiss, Peter Frampton, The Outlaws, The J.Geils Band, Talking Heads, Molly Hatchet, Rush, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and the Comets, Little Richard, Herman's Hermits, The B-52's, Whitesnake, Van Halen, Foghat, and Ozzy Osbourne are among the many artists who performed in concert at the Coliseum.
