History

One finds potteries dating about 20.000 years ago in the Mayrac locality. The traces reveal a Roman camp site near the placement of the windmill of Roque Del Die (Occitan for Rock of God).

For 7 years, FestiVoix organized by the community of communes has invited choral societies and artists more or less known like Idir or Ilene Barnes. The common one has on its territory following qualitative names:

• Local wine of the Slopes of Miramont The Cantalric cellars, as for them, produced wine derivatives of soil created by the Château Capendu:

Personalities

• Ferdinand Théron, opposing to the plebiscite of Napoleon III in 1870, companion of Omer Sarraut, general advisor of Capendu in 1880; it gives up its seat of general advisor when it is elected appointed of Aude in 1885.
