Dj Capital J aka The Natural Born Dubplate Killa is one of Canada’s top ranked legendary Dj/Entertainers of the electronic music industry. After 20 yrs in the industry, Capital J has dominated everything he’s put his hands on since he was a teen. Battling his way through his adolescent years in scratch battles and Dj competitions as Ontario’s (maybe even Canada’s) youngest protégée earning his first title at 13yrsld in his first battle (to the death) against 11 grown veteran scratch Djs, thus earning many more titles for years to come.
His progression into the industry soon found him producing, managing and performing with a vast number of hip hop projects and major recording industry legends way before he was even out of high school with high rollers such as Ice-T & Evil E, Run DMC, EPMD, Redman & Public Enemy. Soon after Caps had the venture of producing and performing in the (MCA/Universal Records signed) hip hop/new metal band Genocide aka Face The Pain with his eldest brother Mic Fresh, which was backed with a number of music videos and concert tours. Caps also produced and performed LIVE with UK chart topping breaks / electronic act The Incredible Melting Man. And now with over 1000+ headlining performance’s inside the world’s top locations such as Las Vegas’ Penthouse Gentlemen’s club, Alpine Unity NYE Festival New Zealand, The Party Room Taiwan, Shambhala Music Festival BC, World Electronic Music Festival Toronto, HMSU Festival Bulgaria and BSF Open Air Festival Ukraine just to name a few of the history making partys and promoters who Caps has flexed his skills for all while getting high praises from the world’s most legendary electronic artists and djs he’s shared the stage with like Armin Van Buuren, Infected Mushroom, Carl Cox, Andy C, John B, MSTRKRFT, Jam Master Jay (RIP), Q-bert, Dj Craze, Roc Raida (RIP), Ed Rush & Optical, 12th Planet, Grooverider, Simon Bassline Smith, Shy FX, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Old Dirty Bastard (RIP) & Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan, Kenny Ken, Krafty Kuts (and so on!), and is still currently running things as Canada’s #1 Jump-up Scratch Master badman with over 80+ top selling releases worldwide from various labels including his own “VIP DUBZ Recordings”.
