CLT is governed by a board of directors who oversee the work of three full-time staff. The board is led by an executive committee made up of board officers (president, vice president, treasurer and secretary) and the executive director. Seven standing committees help the Trust meet its mission.

CLT’s primary goals are:

1. Protect marine shorelines and estuaries
2. Protect peninsular riparian areas and wetlands
3. Protect riparian and prairie habitat in the Black River and Scatter Creek watersheds
4. Protect oak woodlands in and prairie habitat
