In 2004 and 2010, Standard & Poor's gave the CDB a rating of (AAA) Triple A, the firm's highest rating. According to Standard and Poor if the Caribbean Development bank "continues its prudent financial policies of the past, its rating should remain stable over the medium term."

At the end of 2000, the bank had shareholders' equity of US$426 million.
